Software Toolbox Announces OmniServer Support for Wonderware InTouch 10 and System Platform 3.
Software Toolbox Inc. announced today that its OmniServer
Universal Device Integration software supports the new Wonderware InTouch 10 and System Platform 3 offerings announced today by Wonderware. OmniServer is an I/O Server
that empowers the user to build their own device integration driver without programming to talk to various serial or Ethernet devices that do not already have drivers written. OmniServer saves users
thousands of dollars when compared to writing custom drivers. Examples include bar code readers, weigh scales, bar code printers, and more. Several sample protocols are included in the
package. No programming is required to use OmniServer. All configuration is done through a point-and-click user interface. Wonderware InTouch 10 users will find the familiar Suitelink
interface in OmniServer a snap, and System Platform 3 users are free to choose OPC or Suitelink connections to OmniServer. OmniServer has been in continuous use in industry since 1995 with thousands of installations around the world.
"The Wonderware InTouch 10 and System Platform 3 products are an incredible advancement in HMI/Visualization
technology. Thousands of Wonderware users around the world have used OmniServer since 1995 for integrating the wide
range of serial and Ethernet devices found on plant floor. We are pleased to let our users know their investments in OmniServer are fully supported with these new releases from Wonderware and welcome new users of InTouch 10 and System
Platform 3 to have a look at what OmniServer offers for universal device connectivity", said John Weber, President, Software Toolbox Inc.
